RoboCup@Work is growing with new teams joining the upcoming competitions at GermanOpen in April 2014 and the RoboCup 2014 world championships in July 2014 in Brazil. RoboCup@Work targets the use of robots in work-related scenarios comprising mobile manipulation in complex tasks ranging from manufacturing, automation, and parts handling up to general logistics. The qualification phase for the competition in Brazil is still open, but possibly interested teams have to hurry.

Teams including the current world champion have publicly released their software used at RoboCup 2013 in Eindhoven. During the competition they could show some impressive performances with high precision navigation and grasping of objects. With the common hardware basis of the KUKA youBot other developers can now benefit from these developments and take it up for their own work.
