The Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania developed an ultrasound based indoor localization system for the KUKA youBot. Moreover they worked on the development of a sensor fusion method for youBot like omnidirectional robots. It combines ultrasound based time of flight measurements with IMU measurements for fast and precise robot control.
