If you are using only the  KUKA youBot arm you should connect the ethernet cable to the port on the right (close to the on/off button). Also when you are connecting only the arm you have to change the Joint topology in youbot-manipulator.cfg file accordingly.

If you are using both the KUKA youBot base and arm you should connect the Ethernet cable to the remaining port on the arm, as shown below:
