Connectiong youBot to external computer

It depends on what configuration you are using.

If you are using only the KUKA youBot arm you should connect the ethernet cable to the port on the right (close to the on/off button). Also when you are connecting only the arm you have to change the Joint topology in youbot-manipulator.cfg file accordingly.

If you are using only the KUKA youBot base you should connect the ethernet cable to port ehthercat1

If you are using both the KUKA youBot base and arm you should connect the ethernet cable as it is written on a webpage.

Caution

Don't turn off the network switch even if you don't have a valid net connecting.(important)

Check your cabling

Be sure that the small ethernet cable is connected, like at the image below. From the EtherCat 1 on the Platform to the Right EtherCat on the Arm

Please note that to work with externel PC the internal PC must be shut down.
