Abstract: The idea behind the project is the problem of marking points on the ground of large factory halls. These markings are required to drill holes and install entire production lines with their numerous components and to enable highly precise positioning. At present, this task is accomplished manually and is both time consuming and expensive. The results from the Master thesis indicate that when using a KUKA youBot, the procedure cannot only be performed with comparable or improved precision but it can also be fully automated and completed within a shorter time frame thus reducing the costs.
